The Newport High School football program hosts a three-day Summer Youth Cub Football Camp for student-athletes entering grades five through eight from Aug. 11-13 at the school’s Morrow Field.
The camp runs from 9 to 11 a.m. and costs $50 per athlete or $40 per camper for any two or more participants from the same family.
“It’s an exciting time for youths to get involved to work on football skills that can be used throughout their lives,” Newport head football coach Dan Schaffeld said.
Campers should arrive wearing active gear, such as athletic shorts, a T-shirt, cleats or tennis shoes. Participants are asked bring their own water bottles. A water-refill station will be available to campers.
