In his July 7 letter to the editor (“What about the rest of us?”), Mr. Vinson said of his jury duty, “When I reported to the court to cover this civic responsibility, I had to watch a film on the continuous daily barrage of what a horrible racist person I am.”

As someone on jury duty for the month of July, I’d like to know more about this film. What was its title? Was it presented to all in the jury pool by the court, or by one of the lawyers as part of a case? What specifically was said in it that made you think it was claiming you are a racist? So far, I’ve only had to go to the courthouse, but have not been selected for a case, and have not been shown any film.
