Jerry and Judy bought a 20 acre farm in Newport where she was an avid Arabian horse breeder, trainer and loved to compete in many regional horse shows in the PNW. She raised La Serena and went on to win the Canadian Nationals Top Ten in haler and performance. She also received the Legion of Merits in Scottsdale Az. Judy loved working with the 4-H.
She worked at the Family owned Business West Coast Laundry from 1960 to the early 70’s. She then went to work for Georgia Pacific Plywood Mill. She also drove long haul for UPS, Newport Police Department and worked for Forest Service until she retired.
She married Jerry on October 11th 1958 in Springfield Oregon. Together they had two sons Jay and Jim Ashard. 5 grandkids and 5 great grand kids.
She is survived by her loving husband Jerry her two sons Jay and Jim. Preceded in death her mother Helen Abbott and her sister Linda Deer.
Services will be held on January 21st at 1:00pm at the South Beach Church.
