Henrietta Warren

Our beautiful mother, Henrietta (Henri) Pearl Warren (Bond), 78, passed away October 25, 2021, in West Jordan, Utah due to complications from a stroke.

Henri was born in San Francisco, California on July 26, 1943, to Belle (Birdsell) and Archie Bond. She graduated from Waldport High School in 1961. She attended Portland State for a short time before enlisting in the Women’s Army Corp where she served as Dental Assistant. During her career in the WAC she was stationed at West Point and in Germany. Upon being discharged from the Army and returning home, she hitchhiked with a friend to Clinton, Iowa where she met her husband James (Jim) Warren. Later in life, as a devoted mother of 3, she found her passion and was determined to become a nurse and graduated from the nursing program at Clinton Community College. She worked many years in the nursing field and eventually settled in Kennewick, Washington for 32 years where she retired from Avalon Health Center. She loved being a nurse and caring for her patients.

Henri was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother Ralph (Bond) and sister Ardel (Wu). She is survived by her sister, Rosemary (Thissell), brother. Archie, and her children, Matt, Melissa, and David, and her two grandchildren, Garrett and Dennis.

Henri was a dedicated wife to her husband, mother to her 3 children and caregiver to many people in need. She worked tirelessly and selflessly to provide for her family and was very humble in that she never asked for anything in return. Henri spent much of her childhood on the Oregon coast and always enjoyed her return home to visit family or for her class reunion. She also had many amazing stories and fond memories of her childhood growing up, including serving as the Beachcomber Princess in Waldport, and of her time spent in the military.

Rest in peace, Henri, you will be missed by so many. “Dance with the waves, move with the sea, let the rhythm of the water set your soul free.
