Special election to fill two Lincoln City council positions

Lincoln City Ward 2 Councilor Sydney Kasner recently announced her resignation from the Lincoln City City Council, and members of the council voted to add her position to this November’s special election choices, which will also fill the council seat vacated by Ward 1 Councilor Elaine Starmer.

Citing an opportunity for professional development that will benefit her whole family, Kasner expressed regret as she stepped down from her role. She was elected to the Ward 2 position in November of 2021 and said she has enjoyed the opportunity to meet and to serve Lincoln City residents as a member of the council.
