Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital will hold an armed intruder drill on Tuesday, Oct. 12, which will require the brief closure of driveways into the hospital campus.

Beginning at about 10:55 a.m., driveways to the Lincoln City hospital will be temporarily blocked — the drill is expected to last about 20 minutes.

Hospital staff were informed the drill will occur but not given exact details, according to a press release from Samaritan. The drill will include an actor portraying an armed intruder. Lincoln City Police will participate, as well as trained observers.

This drill will provide practice for lockdown protocols at the several medical buildings on campus and the hospital itself.
