The Newport Police Advisory Committee is seeking input from residents and visitors regarding the service level of the Newport Police Department. The survey is available electronically at or in person at city hall, the library, recreation center and 60+ activity center. The new deadline for participation is Dec. 15.

People do not need to be a resident of Newport to take this short, 16-question survey. Someone taking the survey may have come into contact with multiple law enforcement agencies, but responses should relate only to the Newport Police Department. Participants should indicate their response to each question by selecting the appropriate answer based on feelings, opinions, observations, and experiences. They may skip any survey questions, but are encouraged to respond to as many as possible. Participation in the survey is confidential.

Questions may be directed to Peggy Hawker at, or at 541-574-0613.
