Three inmates in Lincoln County Jail charged with serious felonies filed petitions for writs of habeas corpus last week, seeking breakfasts equal to those of other detainees.

The petitions filed in Lincoln County Circuit Court by Matthew David Simmons, Jack E Sigler and Lawson Reed Rankin all make similar claims regarding the breakfasts served to them in the jail. All three men say they are on low-sugar diets, and the alternate fare offered to them provides less quantity and quality than that enjoyed by other inmates.
