Oregon Department of Transportation contractors work Dec. 29 to repair a section of Highway 101 southbound near the entrance to Newport Municipal Airport that collapsed into a sinkhole or landslide. According to ODOT’s Facebook page, it anticipated completing work by Tuesday, but crews were still on site Thursday morning, and southbound traffic was still rerouted into the middle turn lane through the work zone.
