A small subgroup of about 230 gray whales lives and feeds in the waters between northern California and British Columbia. These whales, known as the Pacific Coast Feeding Group, are the focus of the November Science on Tap lecture featuring marine mammal researcher Leigh Torres.

The talk is Wednesday, Nov. 30, at 6 p.m. at the Hatfield Marine Science Center’s Gladys Valley Marine Studies Building Auditorium. A social hour with food and beverages available for purchase is at 5 p.m. in the lobby.
