Chapter EO of P.E.O., an international philanthropic organization that promotes education for women, has awarded two $1,500 scholarships to Oregon Coast Community College students. Both women are planning to study nursing. Tessa Adamson, left, a single mother of two daughters, has worked as a certified nursing assistant for several years. She has fallen in love with the profession and is working on earning a nursing degree. Xitlali Mason , right, grew up in the Confederated Tribes of Siletz community and wants to become a nurse to help her people at the Siletz clinic. In the future, she hopes to move on to a larger and more diverse community. Chapter EO is proud to support these women in their pursuits. The organization offers scholarships yearly, as funds are available, and open applications through the OCCC Financial Aid Office each spring.
