The Newport 60+ Activity Center is holding a virtual presentation at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 4, that will teach people how to navigate the Zoom virtual platform.

Friends and family might not be able to physically get together, but people are discovering new ways to stay in touch. Zoom has been a major player in communication. It is easy to do for those who have a computer. Others have been included in conference calls with family and friends.

Those who are curious about Zoom are encouraged to sign up for this interactive session. People who want some information prior to the session can go to https://support.zoom.us.

People can register online for Newport 60+ Activity Center virtual programs at www.newportoregon.gov/sc — click on the yellow banner and the 60+ Activities Tab. A Zoom link will be provided to those registered prior to the presentation.

For more information, call the Newport 60+ Activity Center at 541-574-5459.
