The Lincoln City Summer Kite Festival, providing two days of fun for the entire family, returns to the beach at the D River State Recreation Site on Saturday and Sunday, June 25 and 26. Gaze up at huge, colorful octopuses swimming through the skies, whales breaching the clouds and fast Rokkaku kites dancing through the air in loops and whorls. Parking at the recreation site is limited, but parking is also available at the Lincoln City Community Center and Lincoln City Outlets, with a free shuttle service available at those locations and running continuously from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days.
