The flu is expected to be more prevalent this year compared to last year when school closures and other COVID-19 precautions helped minimize the spread of the virus. Help protect yourself, your family and your community from the flu by getting vaccinated.

Samaritan Health Services has scheduled a number of drive-up vaccination events. If you have had any visit with a Samaritan health care provider — whether in a clinic, hospital, laboratory or imaging test — and have a Samaritan Health Services medical record, you are eligible to get your flu vaccine at one of these drive-up events.

On Saturday, Oct. 9, and Saturday, Nov. 6, drive-up flu vaccinations will be offered on a first come, first served basis from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. around Samaritan Health Service’s coverage area. In Lincoln County, events will take place at the following locations:

• Lincoln City: 2870 NE West Devils Lake Road, located in the Lincoln City Medical Center north parking lot.

• Newport: 740 SW Ninth St., located in the parking lot directly east of the Patient Financial Services building.

Samaritan is also offering the flu vaccine at its Samaritan Urgent Care/Walk-In Clinic, SamCare Express and Samaritan Pharmacy locations to the general public. Only the drive-up events require that people already be a Samaritan patient.
