Two University of Oregon graduate classical music student quartets will present a free chamber concert this Sunday, March 12, at 2 p.m. at Atonement Lutheran Church, 2315 N Coast Highway, Newport. Also performing will be the Tigard High School Orchestra. The concert is free, with donations accepted at the door.
The Sequana String Quartet features Megan Frasier and Madison Vanderwall on violin, Adam Fishburn on viola and Austin Bennett on cello. They will perform the “Mendelssohn String Quartet” in A Minor, op.13.
The Equinox String Quartet features Allison Quade and Tera Murdock on violin, Anthony Salazar on viola and Titus Young on cello. They will perform the “Beethoven String Quartet,” op.59 #1.
Opening the program will be the Tigard High School Orchestra under the direction of teacher James Irving. The 15 classical music students will perform several selections.
