The 36th annual “Dances from the Heart,” a celebration of spring together with a benefit auction, takes place at the Alice Silverman Theatre of the Newport Performing Arts Center (PAC) on June 2, 3 and 4. The shows are presented by Pacific Dance Ensemble (PDE), joined by students from Newport School of Artistic Movement (NSAM).

Nancy Mittleman of Newport, founder and director of both the dance company and the dance school, began teaching dance locally in 1975 and has no plans to stop. For the upcoming shows, she seeks to showcase the multiple talents of her dancers.
