The Waldport Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has announced that Tom Fullmer has been selected as the chamber’s new executive director.
Fullmer brings a wealth of experience in nonprofit management, media relations, fundraising, event production and membership relationships.
“We couldn’t be more pleased with the results of our search,” Waldport Chamber Board President Ron Remund said. “Tom has all the skills and experience we could hope to find, and then some.”
Tom and his wife, Maureen, moved to the Waldport community in October 2019 from Portland. An Oregon native, Fullmer’s experience includes numerous nonprofit board roles, including chairman of Michael Allen Harrison’s Snowman Foundation, executive director of The Grotto, and board director for The Washington County Visitors Association, The State Games of Oregon and The Convention & Visitors Bureau of Lane County. He also served on an advisory committee with Travel Oregon. Fullmer assists with events and fundraising for Yamhill Carlton Together Cares, a nonprofit that serves youth and families in rural Yamhill County.
“I am thrilled to be able to serve the wonderful people who live and work in the greater Waldport area. We love it here. This is our ‘forever home,’ and I and look forward to growing the chamber to serve not only our members, but those who visit this special place along the central Oregon coast,” Fullmer said.
