The Lincoln City Food Pantry receives a $5,000 check on April 26 from Rotary Club of Lincoln City.

It takes a community, and the Lincoln City community definitely supports the local food pantry and its mission to provide nutrition for families.

During the recent Lincoln City Community Days celebration, a food drive was held in front of McKay’s Market— in the pouring rain. Nearly $10,000 in cash donations and 592 pounds of food was raised through this effort. Community organizations that participated included Rotary Club of Lincoln City, Kiwanis Club of Lincoln City, TLC Federal Credit Union, Family Promise, Lincoln City Parks and Recreation, Chinook Winds Casino, Oregon Coast Community College and Lincoln City Chamber of Commerce.
