The Lincoln County Board of Realtors has named Freddy Saxton as the 2021 Realtor of the Year.
The recipient of this award is chosen from among those brokers nominated by their peers and colleagues, and it is awarded based on four separate guidelines: Realtor spirit, business accomplishment, activity in community affairs and service to local, state, and national Realtor associations.
The coastal environment and real estate are in Saxton’s blood. He is a third generation real estate broker in his family, with one of his daughters following in his footsteps. He’s a father and a grandfather.
First licensed in 2008, Saxton stepped up in 2015 and took over the helm of Advantage Real Estate when there was a health issue in the family. Prior to becoming licensed, he was an owner with his father in ORCA Builders for 20 years.
Saxton is the current president of the Lincoln County Board of Realtors and has led the group through some challenging times during the COVID pandemic. Being board president requires a great deal of time and dedication, and Saxton agreed to volunteer for a second term this year during a most difficult time to navigate through. He has been involved as a Realtor at the national and state levels and has served on several committees as part of the local board. He has shown strong leadership in the community, serving as a volunteer for many organizations — not to mention he was a TV celebrity when he starred in two Beach Front Bargain episodes on HGTV. Earlier in life, Saxton served his country in the United States Marine Corp and later in ROTC.
