Depoe Bay Home Watch has earned accreditation from the National Home Watch Association for the third year.
The NHWA was formed in 2009 in order to establish and maintain the highest industry standards for Home Watch and absentee homeowner services throughout the United States and Canada (www.nationalhomewatchassociation.org). Home Watch is a visual inspection of a home or property, looking for obvious issues, which means that it is a service that “keeps an eye on things” at someone’s vacation or primary home while they are not in residence.
Depoe Bay Home Watch owner Don Jones knows that living on the Oregon coast can present challenges. After visiting the area for 30 years, He and his wife, Karen, made the move from Colorado and became residents of Depoe Bay. The weather on the coast can be harsh, with gusting winds, blowing sand and heavy rains. Mold and mildew can be a big problem as well. Contractors can be difficult to work with, and supplies are limited and often need to be ordered. Repair jobs often take longer than expected.
Jones recognized the need for Home Watch services for second homeowners, coastal properties, and VRBOs. Depoe Bay Home Watch is veteran owned and operated and offers local representation/point-of-contact, key holding, emergency services, and client liaison services, as well as alarm response for IconiPro Security and Alarms.
