Polly Plumb Productions invites people to join in a Spring Solstice Celebration in Yachats on Sunday, March 20, from 3 to 5 p.m.

Enjoy musical entertainment provided by Steve Cook and Curtis Colt performing all old favorites on guitar, vocals and drums in the pavilion behind the Yachats Commons. Free popcorn will be available.

The spring, or vernal equinox, is celebrated throughout the world and marks the beginning of spring. The spring equinox happens this year on March 20 at 8:33 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time. At this moment, the visible sun is directly above the equator and creates “nearly” equal amounts of daylight and darkness at all latitudes. The 3 p.m. celebration will start at the conclusion of The Friends of the Yachats Library’s book sale, being held in the commons beginning at 10 a.m. that Sunday.

Polly Plumb Productions is a tax-exempt 501(c)3 organization. It produces diverse, artistic, colorful, whimsical, musical and intelligent arts and cultural programming that embraces and reflects the inclusive and eclectic nature of Yachats residents and visitors.
