The Newport Paper & Book Arts Festival returns Sept. 17-19, being held this year in an all-virtual format.

The Oregon Coast Council for the Arts is pleased to present the 2021 Newport Paper & Book Arts Festival Sept. 17-19. One of the largest events of its kind in the Pacific Northwest, this year’s festival will be hosted in a 100 percent virtual format, organized through the Newport Visual Arts Center.

The deadline to register for the smaller, studio workshops has passed, but people still have until Sept. 16 to sign up for lecture workshops. The cost of the lecture workshops ranges from $35 to $60 and can include up to 60 attendees in the online format.

The festival also features free mini lectures, artist talks and online social events.

The 2021 Newport Paper & Book Arts Festival is made possible by funding from Oregon Humanities and the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEW), and the federal CARES Act.

For more information and to register for one of the lecture workshops, visit or call 541-574-3364.
