The Devils Lake Float-In Concert Series will hold its final event of the season this Saturday, Sept. 11, at 6 p.m. It will feature Chicamarimba, an eight-woman marimba ensemble performing upbeat world music blending African and Latin American rhythms.

That concert will be held from the shore at Sandpoint, but it will only be accessible by boats on the water. The audience is encouraged to pack their favorite brown bag dinner and float-in to enjoy the group during this 90 minute show.

The Float-In Concert Series kicked off on July 10 with the popular local group, Beth Willis Rock Band. The next month’s concert, on Aug. 14, featured the bluegrass band Rowdy Mountain.

A new event this year, the Devils Lake Float-In Concert Series was organized by the Devils Lake Neighborhood Association — through a tourism grant from Explore Lincoln City — to give people an opportunity to enjoy live music while still maintaining social distancing.
