Professional busker Morgen Silverhorn will be performing at the Drift Inn Café in Yachats from 6 to 8:30 p.m. this Sunday, Aug. 1.
Busking is the act of performing in public places for gratuities and voluntary contributions. Street performance is practiced all over the world.
Silverhorn has been entertaining crowds at major venues up and down the West Coast for more than two decades. From the San Diego Bayfront and Balboa Park to Seattle Center, T-Mobile Park and the Portland Moda Center, Silverhorn plays them all. Locals may have seen him — he plays at Duck and Beaver games and can be seen this summer on the Newport Bayfront. He has also played at the Newport Seafood and Wine Festival as an entertainer for the people in line.
Silverhorn is a co-founder of the Oregon Country Fair’s Last Gasp Sweep Band and a regular fixture at the event. He is a former member of Lincoln County bands New Clear Lights, Anything Goes and The Clozettes. He has a vast repertoire and loves playing requests.
Silverhorn will be backed up by Robert Rubin on piano and accordion.
