OSP seeking information about stolen park signs

On Monday, the Oregon State Police issued a news release seeking the public’s help in its investigation of thefts of interpretive signs at Fogarty Creek State Park, Otter Crest Scenic Viewpoint, Boiler Bay Scenic Viewpoint and Devil’s Punchbowl State Natural Area.

OSP received reports of the thefts on Dec. 30 and determined the interpretive sign displays were removed illegally between Dec. 24 and 30. The displays are approximately 2 by 3 feet and were removed along with their metal bases, OSP says.

Monday’s press release states that OSP is continuing to investigate the thefts and is asking members of the public for help. Those who may have information regarding the thefts are asked to call 1-800-442-0776 and leave information for Det. Brian Eskridge.
