On July 9, at approximately 10:30 a.m., the Oregon State Police responded to a call on county dispatch of a reported shoplift in Waldport. OSP searched the area for the vehicle involved and located it near milepost 144 of Highway 101. OSP stopped and detained the driver until a Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputy arrived. On July 9, at approximately 4:30 p.m., a Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputy encountered a single-vehicle crash on Highway 20 near milepost 5 at McNary Lane. OSP responded to the scene to conduct the investigation.

The vehicle, a black 1998 Honda Accord, had been eastbound on Highway 20 when the front passenger-side tire blew out as the driver was negotiating a curve. The driver lost control and crossed the westbound lane before striking the curb headwall at McNary Lane. The vehicle went airborne a short distance before coming to rest along the northeast corner of the intersection.

The driver sustained minor injuries and declined medical attention. A check of the driver’s license status showed that he was misdemeanor level suspended. The driver also admitted to driving without liability insurance. The vehicle was impounded and towed from the scene by AA Rowley’s Towing. The driver was cited and released for DWS-Misdemeanor. He was also issued a citation for Driving Uninsured.

On July 10, at approximately 3:18 a.m., OSP was dispatched to a single-vehicle rollover crash with injury, which occurred on Highway 34 near milepost 10. A red Toyota Tacoma was westbound and coming out of a corner in wet road conditions when the vehicle lost traction. The driver over-corrected and drove off the westbound shoulder and crashed head on into an embankment. The vehicle rolled until it came to stop on its passenger side, blocking east and westbound lanes. The driver was injured but refused medical transport. The vehicle was towed from the scene by AA Rowley's Towing.

On the evening of July 12, the Oregon State Police responded to a single-vehicle, non-blocking crash on Highway 101 near milepost 152. The investigation found a red Tesla Sedan was driving south when the driver reportedly fell asleep and drifted off the southbound shoulder and into a nearby fence. The vehicle was totaled as a result and removed from the scene by Rowley’s Towing. The driver was transported to Pacific Communities Hospital as she complained of chest pain.
