Tigers taking on a tough crowd

LINCOLN CITY — Anyone who was expecting Taft High School’s switch from 4A to 3A to make things easier for the Tigers should look again.

“We went from, in my estimation, the toughest 4A division to the toughest 3A division,” Tigers head football coach James Mick said of Taft’s new conference, the West Valley League.

Mick’s Tigers are doing everything they can to get ready, including a full summer program and a trip to the Camp Rilea team program. This is the second year the Tigers have taken part in that camp, but their preparation for the experience this year enabled them to get the most out of the program.
