The coming of fall signals the beginning of club soccer seasons all around the world, including here in Lincoln County. The Central Coast Soccer Association and the Lincoln City parks department will each begin their youth soccer seasons in the coming weeks, with hundreds of youngsters taking to the field.

Lincoln City kicks off Aug. 16

Lincoln City recreation program supervisor Karl McShane said that the city’s long-running youth soccer program will begin its fall season next weekend.

“It’s been going on for years. This is my third year here, and I know it’s been going on five years before that,” he said “There are three different age divisions; 5 to 7, 8 to 10 and 11 to 13.”

Each of the two younger divisions will field four teams, with a three-team league for the oldest players.
