NEWPORT — The phrase “don’t drink that swill” took on a whole new meaning for a Bend-based brewer this week when it announced a recall of one its craft beers.
10 Barrel Brewing Company voluntarily pulled all 12- and 22- ounce bottles of Swill from grocery stores, restaurants, and any other establishment that carried the beer. Swill is a seasonal sour, fruit beer with 4.5 percent alcohol by volume.
“It has come to our attention that some of this product may be experiencing secondary fermentation in the bottle, causing over carbonation,” the brewing company said in a note to retailers and friends on its Facebook page.
