Celebration draws huge crowds

TOLEDO — This year’s Toledo Summer Festival is one for the record books.

The small city of less than 3,500 residents filled up with crowds last weekend for the annual celebration. The event drew in more than 38,000 festival-goers throughout its three-day run July 25-27.

Toledo’s Memorial Field was transformed into festival headquarters as carnival rides, vendors and a full gamut of events took over for the weekend.
