LINCOLN COUNTY — The Lincoln County Animal Shelter (LCAS) has space for up to 20 dogs, and 50 to 75 cats at any given time.

As the only facility of its kind in the county, it’s important to stay organized.

LCAS is doing just that as the local shelter takes another step into the digital age with the addition of a new database.

LCAS worked with Justice Data Solutions to create the database, which has been customized specifically for the local shelter. LCAS transitioned to the new database last week.

Justice Data Solutions, based out of Akron, Ohio, developed and installed WebJamin, a new jail management system, at the Lincoln County Jail earlier this year.

“They have customizable databases that they have been using with jails, courthouses and for records management,” said LCAS Director Laura Ireland.
