Julianne K. Dutcher passed into the realm of angels on July 19, 2014. She was 79 years old. A resident of Yachats, Oregon since 1992, Julie spent her retirement years as an active member of many local organizations.
Julianne was a dedicated mother, wife,sister and friend. She is survived by her step daughter, Andria Dutcher, step-son-in-law, Robert Nickel and her grandson, Graham Nickel, of Grand Junction, Colorado, her oldest son, Mark Chancerelle, of Prescott, Arizona, daughter Julie Chancerelle Ziemelis, son-inlaw, Eric Ziemelis and grandchildren, Caylin and Devin Ziemelis of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, daughter Delorie Dutcher of Boise, Idaho and youngest son James Dutcher, of Phoenix, Arizona.
Born and raised in Hartford, Connecticut, in 1935,Julie obtained a Masters Degree at the University of Connecticut in education and nutrition. After spending more than 20 years in the San Francisco Bay Area, she retired and moved to Yachats with her husband, Jim Dutcher in 1992. Jim passed away in 2001 and Julie spent the rest of her life enriching the lives of her friends and fellow community members.
Julie will be remembered for her generous spirit, can-do attitude, culinary expertise, and willingness to go the extra mile for anyone in need. She was a good friend and mother and will be missed tremendously.
Parlaying her years of experience in developing school food menus for the San Jose Union High School District in California, Julie tirelessly cooked and created meals for the homeless, and for many fundraising activities in Yachats.
Julie was a member of the Yachats Garden Club, Yachatís Lionís club and volunteered regularly as a docent at the Little Log Church.
Services will be held at St. Anthonyís Catholic Church in Waldport, OR at 11am Wednesday, July 23, 2014.
