LINCOLN CITY — The Crab Pot went down in flames after a fire started in the building just before 3 p.m. Thursday afternoon.

The fish market, located at 6019 SW Highway 101 on the south end of Lincoln City, has been owned and operated by Allen Black for nearly 40 years.

“My wife and I put the earnest money down in the fall of 1974,” Black said. Black’s wife passed away 11 years ago.

The building, which is more than 90 years old, was also his home.

“There was a four-bedroom house,” Black said.
