Two men suspected of participating in what appears to be the staged armed robbery of an adult store were advised Tuesday of charges each faces in connection with the crime.
Brett Michael Betts and Christopher Altman Loring made their initial appearances at separate afternoon hearings in Lincoln County Circuit Court before Judge Sheryl Bachart. Each suspect appeared via closed-circuit television from Lincoln County Jail.
Betts, 26, of Lincoln City, faces one felony count each of conspiracy to commit robbery in the second degree, and conspiracy to commit theft in the first degree. He also faces one misdemeanor count of criminal mischief in the second degree.
Betts is being held on $150,000 bail at county jail.
Loring, 26, residence unknown, faces felony counts of conspiracy to commit robbery in the first degree, and conspiracy to commit theft in the first degree. He is being held on $100,000 bail at the county jail.
