LINCOLN CITY — A purported drive-by shooting on May 24 that had all the trappings of organized crime was not gang-related, according to Lincoln City Police Chief Keith Kilian.
“Nothing suggests this was a gang-related shooting,” said Kilian, who revealed that police are still investigating the incident nearly two weeks after the arrest of Felix Daniel Garcia-Mendoza, the suspected gunman.
Kilian declined to reveal why the case is still fluid, but he promised that further developments are to come.
