LCSD graduating more than 300 in weekend ceremonies

LINCOLN COUNTY ó Itís that time of year when all the hard work finally pays off: graduation.

The Lincoln County School District is graduating roughly 350 students this weekend in the class of 2014 (a final number will be released after June 16).

And while paths may vary, for many of the graduates, itís now about following dreams.

The News-Times spoke with two of those graduates to learn about their future plans.

ďIíve always wanted to be a pilot.Ē

Words spoken by a graduating Toledo Jr./Sr. High senior, Dylan Purdom may just very well get his chance to do that.

After a strenuous interview process that required congressional nominations, strong test scores and success in a physical test, heíll be heading to the Air Force Academy in Colorado on June 25.
