LINCOLN CITY — City councilors will decide on a $39.5 million spending plan for the 2014-15 fiscal year when they convene Monday, June 9, at 6 p.m.

“The budget committee has approved it, and it goes before the council for adoption Monday night,” said David Hawker, the city manager and author of the 111-page budget document.

Included in expenses will be a city payroll of $12.38 million for 127 employees, representing about 31 percent of all operating costs. Agency costs are led by the police department, with a budget of $3.9 million, followed by sewer operations at $2.4 million, the waterworks at $2 million and the community recreation center at $1.18 million.
