NEWPORT — A South Beach man was ordered to undergo a second psychological exam in order to determine whether he can assist in his defense of child pornography charges.
Judge Sheryl Bachart made the finding in the case of Mark Mryczko, 41, at a May 30 hearing in Lincoln County Circuit Court.
“I want another psychologist to evaluate him,” said Bachart at the roughly 30-minute hearing attended by the defendant, defense attorney Guy Greco and special prosecutor Bumjoon Park of the Oregon Department of Justice.
Mryczko faces 16 counts of encouraging child sex abuse in the first degree, and one count of encouraging child sex abuse in the second degree. He is being held on $1.65 million bail at Lincoln County Jail.
