Runaway teenage girl found, parolee arrested

Modified: Tuesday, Jun 3rd, 2014

WALDPORT — A 19-year-old man was arrested Monday for violating parole and allegedly having sexual contact with a runaway girl, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office said.

Christopher Forcier Jr., of Waldport, turned himself in about 8:30 p.m. after deputies made contact with him via telephone, and convinced the suspect to give up.

He is being held on $1 million bail at Lincoln County Jail. Forcier faces a number of felonies stemming from the incident, including four counts of rape in the second degree.

Authorities were alerted about the girl when a custodial parent reported May 30 she had run away from home.

The girl had last been seen with Forcier, who had a felony warrant for his arrest because he had violated his parole. Two days later, on June 1, Forcier and the girl were linked to a residential burglary on Eckman Creek Road.

The ordeal ended June 2 when a tip about a suspicious person led deputies to an area of Nelson Wayside Drive in Waldport, where they found the girl with a concerned resident, the sheriff’s office said. The girl was placed in protective custody.

A short while later Forcier was arrested. He made an initial appearance Tuesday in Lincoln County Circuit Court. Forcier is scheduled to next appear in court June 10.
