County budget on upswing

Posted: Friday, Apr 4th, 2014

Proposal includes adding 4.5 FTE employees in 2014-15

LINCOLN COUNTY — The last five years have been a financial nightmare for many local governments, including Lincoln County, which has eliminated about 65 positions since 2009-10.

“The balanced budget proposal that will go to the budget committee for approval, in addition to something like a half-million dollars in infrastructure projects,” said Hall, “will for the first time in a long time allow us to add back positions into the general fund.”
