LINCOLN CITY — Fans heading to Lincoln City’s Voris Field for evening soccer and football games next season will get to see the action in a better light.

Taft High School received new stadium lights early this week under the Lincoln County School District’s bond measure.

Lincoln County School District Support Services Director Rich Belloni said the $150,000 project – $125,000 for the bases and poles, and $25,000 for the crane and other services – will help wrap up what’s left of the $63 million bond measure voters approved in 2011: around $5 million.

“They’re all projects we were hoping to do but didn’t have to,” he said. “They could’ve waited if we didn’t have the money.”
