College looks at placement rates

NEWPORT — Take a look at the state data the Perkins Performance Measures recently released on career and technical education (CTE), and one would see that Oregon Coast Community College has exceeded performance targets in all but just one area: student placement.

“Overall, we’re doing really well,” said Jane Hodgkins, director of professional and technical programs. Actually, OCCC is leading Oregon’s other 16 community colleges in performance.
