New law in Lincoln City would cut brushy corners

LINCOLN CITY — A new law designed with motorists in mind would bar some driveway parking and curb overzealous landscaping throughout Lincoln City.

Planning officials say the new “clear vision” proposal would make it easier for merging motorists to see one another at intersections, but critics say the scheme would have unintended consequences for property owners and further claim there is little proof such laws actually work.
