Boomers bag win -- Toledo strikes out 12 to rout Gervais on opening day

TOLEDO — Boomers baseball head coach Darrin Purdom figured his club could pull out a win when they faced Gervais at home in their opening game of the season on Monday. He didn’t expect they’d win it quite like they did.

“Our pitching really pulled through for us. We didn’t hit the ball really well today,” he said.
