Failed escape artist liberated — Hatfield Marine Science Center releases its resident octopus

NEWPORT — The main attraction at the Hatfield Marine Science Center, that octopus you saw a few months ago, is likely not the one you’ll see during the next visit.

Actually, if you go in a few days, it’ll definitely be a different one because aquarists released Raven back into the wild Tuesday morning, behind Rogue Brewery at the old boat launch. The octopus had been at the marine science center since September and was put on display in January.
