Lincoln City faces $2 million bill for state highway project

State highway officials predict the $15 million Nelscott Highway Project will fix congestion and improve safety from SE 23rd Street to SE 35th Street. But the plan may carry a $2 million price tag for Lincoln City, which has to relocate utility lines buried beneath the highway. Stephanie Reid

LINCOLN CITY City leaders will convene Monday to search their bank accounts for nearly $2 million needed to move sewer and water lines that are buried in the way of a state highway job.
