The puppet master Artist who rejected Hollywood sets the stage at Wax Works

Terry Galliher is the creative mastermind behind the Wax Works and Ripley’s Believe It or Not! The artist, who turned his back on Hollywood to create fantastic exhibits such as an 8-foot, 3-inch Bigfoot, said he’s found a home in the dark and startling passages of the twin Bayfront attractions. An eye for celebrities allows Galliher to mold lifelike movie stars such as Johnny Depp, a Wax Works figure that gave pause to David Clintock and Samantha Ouzts, visitors from North Carolina.

NEWPORT — While he doesn’t run the place, Terry Galliher pulls many of the strings at Wax Works and Ripley’s Believe It or Not! on Newport’s Bayfront.
