Private rescue group believes every cat is deserving of care and kindness

Lisa Murphy and Trapper reunite after the 6-month-old male was one of 10 cats returned Thursday to Newport by a veterinarian student who is a member of the OSU Shelter Club in Corvallis. The cats were spayed and neutered as part of a program set up by OSU students and the local nonprofit For The Love Of A Cat, which is operated by Judy Latta and Willow DeMuth.

Judy Latta estimates that during the last three years, her nonprofit has spayed and neutered more than 1,500 mostly feral cats and placed about 700 feral offspring in new homes.
