A group of workers, including employees from the Oregon State University Hatfield Marine Science Center, participated in The Great Oregon ShakeOut at 10:17 a.m. on Thursday. The workers walked roughly one mile to a tsunami safe zone located near SW Ash and SE 40th streets. The walk took about 20 minutes. The event is held on the third Thursday of October each year.
