Lincoln City triathlon, shortened by blue-green algae, still a success

Pigage took the top men’s time in the run-bike-run formatted “Duathlon,” finishing in 57:15, while Rich was top female, finishing in 1:11:31. The swimming portion of the race was eliminated due to blue-green algae bloom in Devils Lake.

Despite missing a third of the “tri” in triathlon, the annual Lincoln City Sprint Triathlon went off smoothly last Sunday, Sept. 8, at Devil’s Lake.
